BikeExchange was built on Marketplacer's third-party SaaS platform and needed to migrate to a fully proprietary technology stack. They needed complete control over their product roadmap to innovate faster and deliver a superior experience for consumers and retailers without dependency on an external platform provider. The migration had to support hundreds of thousands of product listings across 1,600+ global retailers and brands.
Adaca provided a technical lead and a pod of engineers to supplement BikeExchange's internal team, rebuilding the platform from the ground up as a fully proprietary stack with real-time inventory management, POS integrations, and integrated shipping.
Adaca provided a technical lead and a pod of engineers to supplement BikeExchange's internal team, rebuilding the platform from the ground up. The new proprietary stack delivers real-time inventory management, POS integrations with Lightspeed and Shopify, Click and Collect functionality, and integrated shipping via sister company Kitzuma. BikeExchange launched their fully proprietary platform, giving them complete ownership of their technology stack for the first time. The CEO publicly thanked Adaca for their partnership in delivering the rebuild.
